Let's Talk About Manifestation & How I Almost Got Stuck In An Elevator

For a few years now, I have been practicing the law of attraction, meditation, and manifestation. But two instances in the past two days have been examples of how manifestation can get a little out of hand.
For those of you that may not know, manifestation in spirituality is when a belief, desire, or energy is so strong it becomes real. For example, if you have not gone a single day without thinking of being an entrepreneur and you have been to seminars or put in some sort of practice. Then a few years down the line you are now the owner of a start-up company. This is because the multiple energies amongst your desires were so strong that they manifested into the physical world. Sometimes though it is not as vigorous sounding as doing steel work every day. On a lighter side of manifestation would be thinking of a song that you like for a few hours and then the song plays on the radio, or listening to a music artist for three weeks and then suddenly seeing a poster for their concert in the next town over. It is simply about putting energy out into the universe and letting the project guide you.
Now that you have some background, let me tell you the two instances this weekend that tripped me out. These two instances definitely threw me for a loop. About three days ago I was having my usual dose of youtube videos and fell down the rabbit hole of Caitlyn Rae’s videos. One of the last few I watched before going to sleep that night was one that went viral of her and a friend stuck in an elevator for two hours. It reminded me of those facebook or tumblr posts that said, “The person placed with your month is who you’re stuck in an elevator with. What do you say to them?” Then the next day, my aunt and I were in the parking garage headed down to the movie theater to watch The Lion King. We entered the elevator and I thought of Caitlyn’s video. I had the thought, ‘What if we were to get stuck like Caitlyn did?’ The elevator arrived at the first floor and I didn’t think much of it anymore. Fast forward to after the movie, we were headed back to the car and two people who were in the same theater as us stepped off the elevator smiling at us awkwardly. I thought that maybe they left something in the theater or went to the wrong floor. After that weird incident, we stepped into the elevator and pushed the button to go to our floor. A solid minute later we were still on the first floor. We tried pushing the buttons a few more times and then the doors started to open and close. That was when I thought we would get trapped. After the doors opened again we had no other choice but to take the stairs to our vehicle.
Later that night I thought to myself, ‘Had I accidentally manifested that scenario?’ because I do not believe that was pure coincidence that I almost got stuck in an elevator the day after seeing someone trapped on the twenty-first floor of their hotel.

The next instance took place this morning and is what inspired today’s post. My pug had decided she would wake me up at three in the morning. And after an unsuccessful hour-long attempt to go back to sleep, I decided to use my time to do a guided meditation. The meditation was about recognizing your past self in an embarrassing situation and acknowledging them in a comfortable environment. The recording said to imagine a comfy place and imagine speaking to that past self. However, my mind went from the two of us being at a coffee shop, to me physically being able to picture the energy going to my third eye. Before you jump to conclusions, don’t. I have absolutely no idea what happened but I did not purposely envision that image. Is it the universe trying to tell me something? Maybe it is the universe forcing me to make this blog post to help someone out there. I am not really sure. The one thing I do recognize however, is that manifestation and energies are serious business. The world works in mysterious ways and our spirits are more powerful than we think.
